Use CHF as your planning currency
Switzerland’s currency is the Swiss franc. Some businesses accept euros, but this is not a reason to assume euro payment everywhere. Switzerland Tourism notes that change for euro payments is generally given in francs.

Cash, debit cards and credit cards are common payment options. Check the particular shop and your card network. Keep a backup for an unsuccessful payment rather than committing your whole travel budget to a single method.

For a trip combining Switzerland with a euro-area destination, keep CHF and EUR costs on separate lines. Convert both to the same home currency in the full trip planner. Adding the raw numbers together would mix different units.
Compare the full amount you will pay
If a business offers both EUR and CHF prices, compare the final amounts after your payment provider’s costs. A familiar currency on the screen does not by itself tell you which option costs less.
