TRY/PLN: what to know
The TRY/PLN rate shows how much PLN you get for 1 TRY. Right now, 1 TRY buys 0.0786 PLN at the mid-market rate. In the other direction, 1 PLN is worth 12.7251 TRY.
In the short term TRY is driven mainly by high inflation and central-bank policy, while PLN responds to NBP policy, EU flows and regional sentiment.
The Turkish Lira (TRY) is issued by Central Bank of Türkiye. In 2005 Türkiye removed six zeros: 1,000,000 old lira became 1 new lira. The Polish Zloty (PLN) is issued by National Bank of Poland (NBP). “Złoty” literally means “golden”, a name dating back to medieval gold coins.
Available archived TRY/PLN observations within the last 365 days range from 0.0765 to 0.0880, with a -9.49% change from the first to the last available sample. This is not necessarily a full year of observations or an intraday range.
For anyone in Poland, this is the mid-market reference to compare against your bank or kantor before exchanging. Your bank, card issuer or exchange office may use a different rate and charge fees. Compare the final amount after the charges disclosed for your offer.
