PLN/TRY: what to know
The PLN/TRY rate shows how much TRY you get for 1 PLN. Right now, 1 PLN buys 12.7251 TRY at the mid-market rate. In the other direction, 1 TRY is worth 0.0786 PLN.
In the short term PLN is driven mainly by NBP policy, EU flows and regional sentiment, while TRY responds to high inflation and central-bank policy.
The Polish Zloty (PLN) is issued by National Bank of Poland (NBP). “Złoty” literally means “golden”, a name dating back to medieval gold coins. The Turkish Lira (TRY) is issued by Central Bank of Türkiye. In 2005 Türkiye removed six zeros: 1,000,000 old lira became 1 new lira.
Available archived PLN/TRY observations within the last 365 days range from 11.3596 to 13.0745, with a +10.48% change from the first to the last available sample. This is not necessarily a full year of observations or an intraday range.
For anyone in Poland, this is the mid-market reference to compare against your bank or kantor before exchanging. Your bank, card issuer or exchange office may use a different rate and charge fees. Compare the final amount after the charges disclosed for your offer.
