CNH/AED: what to know
The CNH/AED rate shows how much AED you get for 1 CNH. Right now, 1 CNH buys 0.5477 AED at the mid-market rate. In the other direction, 1 AED is worth 1.8260 CNH.
In the short term CNH is driven mainly by sentiment toward China and offshore flows, while AED responds to its peg to the US dollar.
CNH is the “offshore” version of the Chinese yuan, traded mainly in Hong Kong — hence the “H”. The UAE Dirham (AED) is issued by Central Bank of the UAE. The dirham is pegged to the US dollar.
Use this mid-market figure as your benchmark: compare it with the rate your bank or broker quotes, and the difference is the margin you would pay.
