ATM fees by country

Check what an operator actually publishes before calculating a withdrawal. This directory brings together selected foreign-card conditions for Japan and Thailand, with the limits of each source kept visible.

Six reviewed operators across two countries. This is a selection of publications, not a complete ATM directory, a price ranking or firsthand testing. A card logo does not guarantee acceptance, and an unestablished charge is not zero.

Card category affects the scope of the KBank tariff. Transaction method affects Seven Bank’s ceiling. Machine category affects the Bangkok Bank ceiling. These choices do not establish your issuer’s terms.

Source-check history and changes

The register starts with the source checks already documented in our country guides. The original Japan check was on 28 October 2026 and the Thailand check on 31 October 2026; both initial snapshots were archived in this register on 31 October 2026.

Only the starting snapshot is recorded for each country so far. There is no earlier comparison and no claimed fee increase or decrease. A tariff’s effective date does not prove that we observed its introduction.

Practical questions

Can I compare the published numbers as a cheapest-ATM ranking?

No. Published categories, currencies and card conditions differ, and some charges are unknown. An issuer can add fixed charges, percentage fees, cash-advance interest or different conversion terms. Compare your complete entered scenario, not just an operator’s headline amount.

Does a missing fee mean a free withdrawal?

No. It means that this review does not establish a numerical charge for that selection. Keep it unknown until you have the applicable disclosure.

Why are the check date and tariff date different?

The check date records when a source review was documented. An effective date is a date stated by the operator’s tariff. Neither is evidence of your transaction’s actual charge.

Why does the history begin with a baseline?

A genuine comparison needs at least two recorded source checks. The initial snapshots preserve the starting facts; earlier tariff changes have not been reconstructed or guessed.
